So it’s been awhile, over a year actually since I have updated this. It was going to be a place to share my writing and my journey to being a writer.

What I failed to mention in my last post is that my adventures had led me to a cross country move last summer, that story will likely be it’s own post at some point.

In the meantime, a quick update. We now live in Seattle, I’m still working full time not as a writer. I have been freelance writing, mostly blog posts. It’s been helpful in some ways, to know people will pay for my writing, to change up my style and learn to meet requirements and deadlines. It’s not my words though, not what I want to send out in the world.

I’ve settled into my career in Seattle and I love it, it affords more time for pursuing things than my previous jobs. I’m hopeful I will have more time for my writing, putting together stories and sharing them.

I don’t know that writing will ever be a full time job or if that is even what I want. Right now it is an escape, and it’s something that is just mine. I do it because I love it. My freelance writing covers my adventures and travels but it is a choice. If I have to write to eat, I don’t know if it will take away the magic of it.

For now, I will share here. It might about the journey of writing, it might be musings that are just too much for social media. I’ll continue to work on the books that I have going and hope I can make them into something worth reading.
